  According to the records of the Highland Emigration Society, a young woman with the surname Bethune from Ullinish emigrated to Australia on board the Araminta. The only person in the ship's manifest who was a single woman named Bethune was Mary Ann, aged 22 who went to work for Mr Kettle at Colac. [2]
